School Information

In December 2005 The JATC purchased their own building on NE 42^nd Avenue in Portland, Oregon. We provide all classes, lab shops, and administrative offices and support at one location.

The Area 1 Inside Electrical JATC is a state certified apprenticeship and training program for the non-union inside electrician. Our program is a four year education and training program. At the end of four years, our apprentices graduate from our program with over 576 hours of classroom instruction and 8000 field hours.

School is one night a week for 4 hours, September through June. Students are responsible for tuition and books. All classes are held at the JATC Training Center. Classes are progresive; you have to start at the beginning of the school year.
